Canberra Hire Pty Ltd is a privately owned and operated company that began its operations in 1996 as a side company, to its then related building supply company, FAW Building & Rural Supplies. Through the relationships built up with FAW, Canberra Hire quickly developed a fleet of portable toilets servicing the builders of Canberra and soon became a stand-alone company.

In 2001 Canberra Hire was awarded a large Government Department contract to provide all their toilet requirements for various training exercises. Canberra Hire was recognised for its efforts and have continued to provide this service to date. This involves the movement of over 700 toilets throughout the year to remote sites, sometimes with less than a days’ notice.

The range of hire equipment quickly evolved so that Canberra Hire became builders’ first point of call for site establishment equipment (toilets, containers, fencing and site sheds).

Canberra Hire has grown exponentially over the past ten years; gaining entry into the event industry and more recently expanding the hire fleet to include skip bins.  Canberra Hire now service more than 800 customers.

Summernats 29 (2016) was our first event partnering with Canberra Hire after 12 months of discussion. All the staff at Canberra Hire acquitted themselves to a high standard and nothing was a problem.
